Pakistan has formally proposed the establishment of a Digital Policy Dialogue with Malaysia, aiming to enhance cooperation in critical technology sectors such as artificial intelligence, data science, and the Internet of Things.
According to official information today, the initiative was put forward during a meeting between Federal Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima Khawaja and Malaysia’s Minister of Communications, Ahmad Fahmi bin Mohamed Fadzil, on the sidelines of the World Telecommunication Development Conference.
An understanding was reached to deepen collaboration in the digital sphere, with both officials acknowledging the strong bilateral ties and the longstanding strategic partnership between their respective nations.
Minister Khawaja noted that Pakistan’s digital vision aligns closely with Malaysia’s MyDigital Blueprint, highlighting that both countries share common goals for building a modern, technology-driven economy.
She also emphasised cooperation in talent mobility and skills development as key areas for the proposed partnership.
