The government of Pakistan and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have formalized three pivotal agreements aimed at bolstering the nation’s roads and infrastructure, signaling a significant step forward in key development initiatives.

The accords, signed in the capital today, encompass project readiness financing for the vital ML-1 Karachi-Rohri railway section and the Quetta Bus Rapid Transit system.

Additionally, the pacts include supplementary funding for the ongoing Balochistan Water Resources Development sector Project, addressing critical needs in the region.

The documents were officially endorsed by ADB”s Country Director, Emma Fenn, alongside Pakistan”s Secretaries for Economic Affairs and Railways.

During the event, Ms. Fenn commended the Pakistani administration for its robust commitment to these undertakings and reiterated the bank”s dedication to its continued cooperation with the country.
