Pakistani climber Shehroze Kashif sets another record

KARACHI: Pakistani climber Shehroze Kashif on Monday became the world's youngest mountaineer to summit 11 peaks above 8,000 meters (26,247 feet) after he scaled Annapurna, the 10th tallest mountain on earth.

Annapurna is situated in the Annapurna mountain range of Gandaki Province, Nepal. It is the tenth highest mountain in the world at 8,091 metres above sea level and is well known for the difficulty and danger involved in its ascent, according to a report.

“Today at 6:30 a.m. PST, Shehroze Kashif has successfully summited World's 10th highest peak Mount Annapurna 8091,” an announcement was made on his social media pages.

“In the process, Shehroze has become the youngest ever person in the world to climb 11 8000m peaks,” reads the post.
