Srinagar, September 25, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Srinagar district administration has announced strict curfew in parts of the summer capital to combat the spread of coronavirus. Corona curfew has been imposed in several areas of the city, including Zadibal, Hawal, Alamgari Bazar, Kathi Darwaza, Lal Bazar, Botshah Mohalla and Umer Colony for a period of 10 days.
The order in this regard has been issued by District Magistrate of Srinagar, Muhammad Aijaz Asad, who supervised a drive against SOP violators in the commercial hub of Lal Chowk earlier this week. Asad had also warned of curbs in the areas showing rise in daily positive cases.
According to the order, there shall be a 24 hour complete ‘Corona’ curfew with no movement of people except for permissible activities. Besides all educational institutions, all shopping complexes, bazaars, saloons, barber shops, cinema halls, restaurants, sport complexes, gyms, spas, swimming pools, parks, zoos, etc, shall remain closed.
“No social gatherings/functions whether indoors or outdoors shall be allowed. The permitted ceiling for marriage shall be restricted to 20 persons only. The gathering at funerals shall be limited to 10 persons only,” reads the order.
