Pashtun Quomi Tehreek (PQT) central leaders Ghulam Hussain Pashtun and Haji Muhammad Sadiq Pashtun have vehemently criticised the Balochistan Chief Minister”s decision to establish new administrative divisions in Pashtun-majority areas, asserting that the move is fragmenting the community and fostering internal discord.
In a joint statement issued here on Wednesday, the leaders denounced the measure to elevate Barshore, Khanozai, Karezat, and Muslim Bagh to district status. They contended that this initiative would yield little tangible advantage for the populace, instead benefiting only a select group of individuals.
The PQT further called for the partitioning of present-day Balochistan and the creation of an autonomous Pashtun province. This new entity, they stressed, would enable Pashtuns to exercise self-determination and manage their own affairs.
The leaders expressed concern that Pashtun communities are currently being splintered, while other political entities have remained conspicuously silent on this crucial matter.
They affirmed the PQT’s commitment to consistently advocate for Pashtun entitlements and interests at all levels.
