Lahore, April 26, 2019 (PPI-OT): Pak-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) has suggested also to consider Plug-in-Housing Technology to achieve the target of constructing 5 million houses in Pakistan in the shortest possible time. As a famous saying goes, ‘Chinese houses will still stand when their walls collapse, as the main structure of the pug-in houses is located on the central axis of a court while less-important structures are located to the left and right, he said.

Mr. Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General PCJCCI, speaking on the issue, said that there was a lack of 12 million houses in Pakistan and investors from private sectors had already approached to invest for construction of five million houses. The State Bank has also be advised by the government to increase the loan base by at least 5 per cent for the housing sector, he said and informed that many private and public sector companies in China had also contacted Pakistan for investments in the low-cost housing project.
