Pediatric Emergency Rooms are ISO-certified: ChildLife Foundation

KARACHI: The Pediatric Emergency Rooms of Government Hospitals in Sindh and Baluchistan are ISO 9001:2015 certified, ChildLife Foundation said in a statement on Monday.

“ISO 9001:2015 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS) and demonstrates the ability of an organization to consistently provide best services to meet end user and regulatory requirements. These Emergency Rooms are managed by ChildLife Foundation,” said the foundation.

“This certification is a testament of our team’s continuous efforts to provide quality emergency care in the emergency rooms established by the foundation across the government teaching hospitals,” said Dr Ahson Rabbani, CEO, ChildLife Foundation.

He said: “Ensuring quality has helped us transform the medical healthcare operations and strengthened our systems to handle crises like Covid and urban flooding while ensuring quality emergency care to every patient all times.

The patient centric approach is the benchmark of ChildLife Foundation for policy formulation and procedures that helps maintain the standards. The ChildLife team strives every day for appropriate internal controls in standard operating procedures, as a result, continuous recommendations are shared to improve the entire process of evidence-based decision making for quality emergency care, said Rabbani.
