Former Federal Minister Humayun Akhtar Khan, during his visit to NA-97, emphasized the need for the federal and Punjab governments to focus on the development of underprivileged districts.

According to a statement issued today, he stated that the people of all districts deserve equal opportunities for progress. While expressing his sorrow over the underdevelopment in the region, he assured the locals that instead of losing hope, he would become their voice and work towards resolving long-standing issues.

During his visit, Akhtar met with local dignitaries and representatives from various sectors and offered condolences to the families of the deceased in the constituency.

Criticizing the inaction of previous representatives, he urged the public to hold those responsible for their deprivation accountable. Highlighting his achievements, he mentioned the approval of the Mureedwala Interchange, road construction from Zafar Chowk to Chak No. 516, and the provision of electricity for the growing population in Chak No. 509 GB.

He said: “Resolving both small and large public issues is not a favor but a duty, as politics is about serving people and sharing in their struggles.”
