Petroleum Minister Declares Digitalization Inevitable for Sector Reform

Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik today asserted that the digitalization of the nation”s petroleum supply chain is an unavoidable step required to significantly enhance monitoring and improve service delivery.

The minister”s remarks were made during a high-level meeting in the capital city today with delegates from the Oil Marketing Association and the Oil Companies Advisory Council.

Reaffirming the administration”s commitment to the reform process, Malik confirmed that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has been directed to pay close attention to the issues raised by the industry.

The session involved detailed consultations focused on implementing comprehensive reforms throughout the petroleum supply chain.

Industry stakeholders present at the gathering tabled various suggestions aimed at boosting the efficiency and transparency of the supply infrastructure, and welcomed the government”s engaging in a consultative process.
