Plea to stop cutting salaries of Bolan teachers

QUETTA: Dr Syed Zahoor Shah, President, Bolan Medical College Teachers Association, has called on the authorities not to deduct Health Professional Allowance (HPA) from the salaries of medical teachers serving in Bolan Medical College, Quetta and three other medical colleges of the province.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, he said medical teachers of the province have been confronting several issues, including the issue of Health Professional Allowance and Teaching Allowance, adding that these issues have been brought into the notice of higher authorities of Health Department, but so far no action has been taken.

He said medical teacher are being paid Rs.500 in the head of Teaching Allowance, hence, the said allowance needs to be increased. He demanded of the authorities not to deduct Health Professional Allowance from the salaries of medical teachers serving in Bolan Medical College and other medical colleges of the province besides increasing the amount of Teaching Allowance.
