Islamabad, July 24, 2023 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has termed Pakistan’s LNG agreement with Azerbaijan as a remarkable achievement in the bilateral relations between the two countries. On twitter tonight, the prime minister wrote that our respective ministries signed an LNG Agreement today to procure one LNG cargo per month for a period of one year. He wrote that this Agreement will help ease gas shortage in the country and provide relief to the people and industry. He expressed happiness for his support in the finalisation of this Agreement on favourable terms to Pakistan.
He also appreciated Minister of Finance Ishaq Dar, Minister of State for Petroleum Dr Musadik Malik and their teams for the hard work. The Prime Minister wrote without their commitment to public service, this Agreement would not have been possible in the shortest span of time.
