According to SSP Kemari, Captain (retd) Faizan Ali, two suspected robbers were apprehended following a police encounter in the Maripur area of Kemari last night.
During a patrol near Hawksbay Road, Maripur, law enforcement personnel were alerted by a passerby about two individuals fleeing towards Greece on a motorcycle after being involved in street crimes. Later identified as Muzammil, son of Ghulam Nabi, and Hasnain, son of Parvez Ahmed, the individuals collided with a vehicle while attempting to evade authorities, resulting in an injury to Muzammil’s leg.
The suspects then opened fire on the officers with illegal weapons. Law enforcement agencies retaliated, injuring Hasnain. Both individuals were subsequently arrested. The injured suspect was immediately shifted to a medical center for treatment.
Prior to their apprehension, the duo was allegedly involved in several robberies. They stole a wallet, mobile devices, and cash from an individual in the Site-B area. They also targeted the staff of a GTV channel in the Sher Shah area, looting mobile devices, wallets, a laptop, and money. Their last alleged crime was snatching a mobile device, currency, and wallet from another individual in the Maripur area.
