Police encounters in Karachi Sohrab Goth, Anda Mor, 3 arrested, woman injured by gunfire in Quaidabad

On Sunday in Karachi, police had encounters with criminal elements in Sohrab Goth, Anda Mor, and Quaidabad.

Near Shahrah-e-Pakistan at the Sohrab Goth bus stop, law enforcement agencies had a confrontation with suspected robbers, resulting in the arrest of an injured suspect named Sufyan. However, his accomplice managed to escape the scene. Police seized a pistol, bullets, a mobile phone, cash, and various other items from the scene. Investigations are ongoing while authorities are trying to apprehend the escaped suspect.

In another incident near Younus Mosque in Anda Mor Sector 10, a police encounter resulted in the arrest of two injured suspects. Identified as Muhammad Nadeem, son of Muhammad Bakhsh, and Nizamuddin, the suspects were found with two pistols, bullets, and a motorcycle. Police are investigating further details of their criminal activities.

In an unrelated incident in Muzaffarabad, a stray bullet injured Ashraf’s wife, Salma, approximately 75 years old, in Street No. 27. She was immediately taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for treatment. Investigations are ongoing to determine the source of the random firing.
