Residents today voiced serious concerns over land encroachments and other civic problems during an open court session held by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, Qazi Ali Raza, prompting immediate directives for legal action.
The public hearing, conducted at the SSP”s office, was organised following special instructions from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The initiative is part of an open-door policy aimed at ensuring the prompt redressal of public grievances.
SSP Raza attentively listened to the issues presented by the attendees and subsequently issued orders to the relevant officers. He mandated that legal proceedings be initiated on the marked applications within a specified timeframe, demanding a follow-up report on the actions taken.
Speaking on the occasion, the SSP Operations reiterated the Islamabad Police”s zero-tolerance policy towards violence against women and children. He affirmed that providing maximum relief to the public remains a primary objective and stated that the supremacy of the law would be upheld at all costs.
He further emphasised that every individual possesses equal rights and gave assurances that all submitted petitions would be processed strictly on merit. The protection of citizens’ lives, property, and dignity is of the utmost importance, he added.
