PPF conducts training session on ‘use of latest technology during pandemic’

KARACHI:Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF) conducted a two-day training session on “Use of latest technology during pandemic and disaster ” in partnership with Local Action for Democratic and Inclusive Response to Covid-19 Project at a local hotel in Karachi.

The session was attended by male and female print, electronic and digital media journalists. Vania Ghafoor and Masood Warsi were the coordinators of the program.

On first day of the training program, Maqsooda Solangi, Trainer from Trust for Democratic Education and Accountability (TDEA) conducted the session on media’s role in democracy and democratic freedom, rights of journalists, laws and organizations to protect them. The questions and answers session was also held.

On the second day of the training session, TDEA’s senior journalist, Waqar Gillani, educated the participants on digital tools, and how to increase income through platforms of digital journalism such as YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and others.

Senior trainer Yasir Abbasi, briefed the participants on how to form accounts on digital media, security, web challenges and problems.
