The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Wednesday paid homage to its former Secretary General, Senator Taj Haider, on his death anniversary, with a senior party official lauding him as a foundational ideological leader and a trusted confidant of four generations of the Bhutto family”s leadership.
In a commemorative statement, Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari, Secretary General of PPP Parliamentarians, emphasised that Senator Haider was a devoted “PPP-Bhuttoist” leader who championed the principles of Bhuttoism until his final moments.
Bukhari highlighted that the late senator worked relentlessly to advance the party”s core ideology and was also recognised as a distinguished researcher and scholar.
The message noted that Senator Haider was a trusted associate of the party”s key figures, including Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, President Asif Ali Zardari, and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Bukhari commended the late senator’s significant contributions in constitutional, democratic, and parliamentary affairs, describing him as a towering personality renowned for his high moral principles.
