PPP uselessly striving hard to recover its lost glory among people: JUI-F leaders

LARKANA:JUI-Fazal leaders Maulana Rashid Mahmood Soomro and Maulana Nasir Mahmood Soomro have said that PPP is uselessly striving hard to recover its lost glory among the people adding after coming to power they have always committed highhandedness with the masses hence people will never believe in them anymore. They said before staging Long March, PPP should give rights to the people of Sindh.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, they said that PPP Long March, Tractor March, Hari March etc. are dramas with the peasants, poor people and poverty-ridden laborers. They said that some elements are trying to spread unrest but they should remember that people of Sindh are now awakened and no one can dare to stop a Sindhi from wearing Sindhi cap, referring to MQM-P’s Waseem Akhtar’s recent hate speech. They said it is once again being tried to create ethnic, tribal and Maslik situations in Sindh through a conspiracy and some political parties are trying to remain alive by having a fight between Sindhi and Muhajir.

They said the real issues confronted by the people today are unprecedented unemployment, massive inflation and acute lawlessness and for such a crisis federal and provincial governments are responsible because they have failed to accomplish their responsibilities.

They said that urea shortage was the worst example of rulers mismanagement and PPP’s Tractor March was a joke with the tillers and growers. They said farmers are the backbone of our economy and denying them proper prices for their produce is equal to their economic murder. They said the punishment of incompetence of rulers should not be given to the poor peasants.

They said water thieves are protesting against water thefts. They further alleged that the food minister got 20% commission per bag from the landlords amounting to Rs 7.20 billion. They asked Bilawal to talk about rights of Punjab later adding first you (Bilawal) should equal the flour rate of Punjab in Sindh. They said one kg flour is being sold in Punjab at Rs60 but in Sindh it is being openly and daringly sold at Rs80 per kg. They further claimed that one of the longest Marches will be held on 23rd March which will overthrow the Imran Khan government in Islamabad.
