ISLAMABAD:President Dr Arif Alvi has stressed the need of spreading awareness among the youth about positive use of social media and identifying the fake news.
Congratulating the newly elected President of Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) Kazim Khan and other office bearers, he expressed the hope that the newly elected leadership of the Council will play its role against the publishing and spread of fake and unverified news.
The President said media should promote high moral values and Islamic teachings for eradicating social evils. He asked the media to also play its role for raising awareness about welfare of special persons and rights of women.
