Karachi: President Asif Ali Zardari has advocated for a five-year development plan to elevate Cadet College Petaro to international standards, focusing on modern facilities and education methods. He emphasized that investing in education is crucial for preparing youth to meet contemporary challenges and fulfill the country’s human resource needs.

According to a statement by Press Information Department, President Zardari shared these views during a Special Board of Governors meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Karachi. The meeting was attended by notable figures including Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chairman BOG Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi, and Chancellor Ziauddin University Karachi Dr. Asim Hussain.

The board reviewed the college’s academic programs and development projects, with the President lauding Cadet College Petaro’s contributions to national life. He urged the board to maintain the institution’s legacy while adapting to modern demands.

President Zardari called for improved educational quality and upgraded facilities, including sports and boarding, to enhance student growth. He also directed the Sindh government to provide necessary financial and infrastructural support.

He expressed pride in CCP’s role in shaping Pakistan’s educational landscape and mentioned potential scholarship discussions with the Chinese government for talented students. The President reaffirmed his support for the college’s ongoing success.
