Price Control Committee’s Bread Price Reduction Not Yet Reflected in Quetta

Relief in the price of bread announced by the Price Control Committee Quetta has not yet been reached to the citizens.

Residents of Quetta claim that the reduction in bread prices exists only on paper, with the administration appearing ineffective in implementing it. They allege that bakery owners continue to act arbitrarily by reducing the weight of bread instead of lowering prices as announced by the district price control committee.

The district administration had reduced the price of bread from Rs.40 to Rs.30 the previous day and warned of strict action against non-compliance. However, bread is still not available at the new rate of Rs. 30 in Quetta city.
