Prime Minister of Pakistan taken notice of high fare being charged by some travel agents on ticket sales from UAE to Pakistan

Karachi, June 06, 2020 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has taken notice of high fare being charged by some travel agents on ticket sales from UAE to Pakistan. Minister for Aviation, Ghulam Sarwar Khan has instructed PIA to ensure that only advertised fares are to be charged from stranded Pakistanis in UAE. No agent should try to exploit the people wishing to travel to Pakistan. The one-way fare from UAE to Pakistan is 1120 Dirhams.

PIA spokesman said that Passengers can contact PIA officials in UAE for travel information or for complaints in case of high fare being charged by any travel agent. Passengers may contact PIA offices in UAE or by calling directly PIA Country Manager, Shahid Mughal (+971509724789), PIA Manager Abu Dhabi, Mazhar Abbasi (+971569064363), Passenger Sales Manager (+971544040669)

PIA spokesman said that in order to cope with the rush of passengers PIA has set up counters at Pakistan Embassy in UAE and consulate offices for direct sale of tickets. Tickets can be purchased from travel agents in UAE. He said that tickets for travel from UAE to Pakistan can also be purchased from any PIA Booking Office throughout Pakistan.
