Karachi, January 29, 2018 (PPI-OT):The Prime Minister of Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi visited KS and EW Stall in Gwadar Expo 2018 at Exhibition Centre, Gwadar Free Zone, Gwadar Port on 29 Jan 2018. Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Interior Minister Professor Ahsan Iqbal and General Zubair Mahmood Hayat NI (M), Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee, also accompanied the Prime Minister.
Commodore Salman Ilyas SI (M), Project Officer Pakistan Navy Fleet Tanker (PNFT), informed the PM about the progress of ongoing Shipbuilding Projects at KS and EW. PM was also apprised that KS and EW, being the only shipyard in the country, is playing its due role in the development of maritime sector in Pakistan. In this regard, KS and EW, under direction of Pakistan Navy and Ministry of Defence Production, is spearheading the case for establishment of new shipyard in Gwadar. Later, KS and EW crest and cap were presented to the Prime Minister.
