Protest by Family and Panhwar Community Over Alleged Medical Negligence Leading to Woman’s Death in Mirpur Khas

A large protest erupted today in Mirpur Khas when the family and the Panhwar community staged a rally against alleged medical negligence, resulting in the death of 52-year-old Darya Khatun Panhwar. The demonstration, which concluded with a march at the Mirpur Khas Press Club, was prompted by allegations of mismanagement at a local private hospital.

Family members, including Abdul Razzaq Panhwar and Shamsuddin Panhwar, addressing media representatives, alleged that the woman’s intestine was accidentally damaged during surgery for a stone. This mistake led to a severe infection that ultimately caused her death.

The grieving relatives stated that when they filed a formal complaint against the medical institution, they faced threats and harassment. Their demands are clear: a comprehensive inquiry within three days and strict action against those responsible for the alleged negligence.

The protesters further insist that the medical licenses of the involved practitioners be revoked and the medical center be held accountable for its alleged failures. They have resolved to intensify their protests if their demands for justice are ignored.
