Naseerabad: A protest demonstration was held in Shah Latif Public Park against the incomplete building of the Boys High School, led by social organization “Kamaan” leaders Ali Gohar Jatoi, Ghaffar Chana, and others.
Speaking to reporters, the protesters expressed concern that only 15 days are left before the summer vacations end, and the school building is still not complete.
They said that 4,500 students from the entire district are enrolled in this school, and the unavailability of the building will severely affect their education.
The protesters demanded that the authorities arrange an alternate place for the students’ education until the completion of the new building.
Representatives of various civil society organizations also participated in the protest.
The principal of Boys High School told reporters that construction of the new building would start soon in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank. He assured that alternate arrangements would be made to ensure the continuity of students’ education.
