Protests held in Larkana for school building and development works

LARKANA: During two separate protest demonstrations held at Jinnah Bagh here on Friday protesters demanded reconstruction of Government Primary School building in Muhammad Ramzan Gadhi village of Warah taluka which has become very dilapidated and development schemes in Murad Wahan locality of Larkana.

The villagers Zulfiqar Gadhi, Haneef Gadhi, Manzoor, Nasrullah and others complained before media persons that since past several years the school building has become very dangerous which can fall anytime but the bosses of primary education have done nothing as yet despite repeated applications sent to them in Kambar-Shahdadkot district which is injustice.

They said even elected representatives have been approached but they also have turned blind ears to their just demand to get their children educated. They urged provincial education minister to look into their genuine demand and order reconstruction of the school building urgently so that their kids could be literate.

In another protest the residents of Murad Wahan locality of Larkana city accompanied by Awami Tehreek activists took out a large rally and held protest at the same place demanding uplift works in their areas. They were holding banners and party flags in their hands and shouted slogans in favour of their just demand.

Abdul Rahman Chandio, Manthar Ali, Abdul Khaliq, Ghulam Mustafa, Yasin Shaikh and others alleged that since past several years their locality has been ignored willfully as no development works have been carried out in Brohi Street including pavers and drainage due to which its streets remained filled with arsenic water causing bad smell everywhere.

They said due to stagnant contaminated water different deadly diseases have surfaced and people have been infected which is highhandedness. They said elected representatives have also closed their eyes and are doing nothing. They demanded of Sindh government to take notice and order development schemes in Brohi Street of Murad Wahan and elsewhere to dispense justice.
