Investor participation at the Pakistan Stock Exchange surged on Friday, with the traded value in the regular market soaring to over PKR 41.62 billion, propelling the benchmark index to close the session with substantial gains.
The KSE-100 Index registered a notable increase of 802.03 points, equivalent to a 0.48 percent rise, to settle at 167,085.58. Throughout the day”s trading, the index fluctuated between a high of 167,923.45 and a low of 166,369.73.
Similarly, the KSE-30 Index also demonstrated positive momentum, climbing 290.16 points, a 0.57 percent advance, to conclude at 50,772.02 against its previous close of 50,481.85.
Market activity saw a significant uptick as the total turnover in the regular market segment reached 686.83 million shares, a considerable improvement from the 607.79 million shares traded in the previous session.
Reflecting the bullish sentiment, the total market capitalization expanded to PKR 19.038 trillion from its prior level of PKR 18.948 trillion, indicating a substantial addition to overall market value.
