Karachi: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), the country's leading telecom and ICT services provider, announced robust financial results for the year ending December 31, 2025, with significant year-on-year revenue growth. The company maintained its position as Pakistan's premier integrated telecom and ICT services provider.
According to Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited, PTCL's consolidated revenue increased by 12% year over year, driven by strong performance in fixed broadband, enterprise, wholesale, and mobile services. The company's consolidated operating profit grew by 216% year on year, although a net loss of Rs. 9.7 billion was recorded, largely due to accelerated expected credit loss provisioning at Ubank following revisions to the Prudential Regulations.
PTCL's annual revenue reached PKR 120 billion, with a 12% increase year on year. The growth was led by a 50% increase in Flash Fiber and a 16% growth in Business Solutions. The Carrier and Wholesale business saw a 28% growth, while the international segment recorded a 3% revenue increase. PTCL's operating profit rose by 49% to Rs. 18.2 billion, posting a net profit of Rs. 1.4 billion despite additional pension liabilities.

A significant milestone for PTCL was the successful acquisition of Telenor Pakistan, completed on December 31, 2025. The operational results of Telenor Pakistan will be consolidated from January 1, 2026. This acquisition, alongside that of Orion Towers, marks one of Pakistan's most significant telecom consolidations. PTCL plans to amalgamate Telenor Pakistan and Ufone, subject to regulatory approvals, to enhance network coverage, improve operational efficiencies, and support strategic priorities in connectivity and digital services.
PTCL's Flash Fiber led the fiber broadband market with a 50% growth, maintaining a 33% subscriber market share. The introduction of the 'Tez Raftaar' offer expanded access to affordable high-speed internet, enhancing customer experience and supporting digital adoption. Digital services, including UPaisa, delivered strong performance, with transactions increasing by 57% year on year.
The company strengthened its enterprise footprint by expanding mobility, connectivity, and digital services nationwide. PTCL Smart Cloud recorded growth by onboarding digital banks, fintechs, and government institutions, driven by demand for sovereign cloud and managed security solutions. Internationally, PTCL reinforced its carrier wholesale leadership through a diversified submarine cable network.
PTCL's commitment to social impact was evident through its 'Dil Se' platform, advancing digital inclusion and access to essential services. The Ba-Ikhtiar program saw 79 women graduate from digital and entrepreneurial training. PTCL and Ufone also launched the world's first AI-powered sign-language early warning system for the Deaf community.
The company's public health efforts included support for UNICEF's polio campaigns and provision of free connectivity in flood-affected districts. PTCL expanded access to clean water in remote areas, earning Gold awards at the Dragons of Pakistan and Dragons of Asia Awards. A new MoU with PPAF will further extend water interventions in South Punjab and Thar, benefiting over 200,000 people.
These initiatives reflect PTCL's focus on delivering measurable social impact alongside long-term business growth.
