Islamabad, August 26, 2021 (PPI-OT):Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain says the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government has set the tradition of sharing yearly performance report with public. Talking to the PTV News in Islamabad on Thursday, he said before the PTI, there was no culture of sharing the government and its departments’ performance with public continuously. The Information Minister said PTI is the only government which brings its performance before the public.

He said the government started Ehsaas Programme for marginalized segments of society, besides bringing innovations in many departments, including science and technology. Fawad Chaudhry said it is the PTI government which has made environment a subject for public discussion and the world is acknowledging the steps taken by Prime Minister Imran Khan for tackling the climate change in Pakistan.

He said it is the first time in history of Pakistan that the country’s foreign policy is based on self-respect and the whole world is recognizing Pakistan’s role in Afghanistan. In his remarks on the occasion, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib said when Prime Minister Imran Khan came into the power, there were multiple challenges stemming from fragile economy to weak state institutions. He said in comparison with 2018, Pakistan now has the highest foreign exchange reserves of 20 billion dollars. The Minister of State said despite the COVID-19’s fallouts, exports are recorded at the highest level with 25.4 billion dollars of goods.
