Punjab University (PU) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali today called for the practical implementation of Allama Iqbal’s philosophy, asserting that his teachings on poetry and politics should be actively practiced, not merely studied.
The Vice Chancellor’s message was delivered as he led a university delegation to the mausoleum of the national poet to pay homage. During the visit, the delegation laid a floral wreath at the tomb and offered Fateha for the departed soul of the esteemed thinker.
In his remarks, which were also recorded in the visitor’s book, Prof Dr Ali paid tribute to the services of the individual he described as the “greatest poet, philosopher and thinker of the Sub-Continent.”
The ceremony concluded with the Vice Chancellor and other members of the delegation offering prayers for the prosperity of the country and the nation.
