Public Outreach- Awareness week to be observed in Sindh on the occasion of World Human Rights Day,

The Department of Human Rights, Government of Sindh, in a concerted effort to promote awareness regarding fundamental rights, has launched a week-long campaign on the occasion of World Human Rights Day 2025.

According to an official statement issued today, this comprehensive program will include special activities for students in events starting in the first week of December. Younger students from the primary section will be introduced to the concepts of fundamental rights through creative arts and visual expression, while secondary and higher secondary students will participate in painting and speech competitions based on important human rights themes, and outstanding performers will be awarded prizes.

To extend the campaign’s reach beyond schools to the local population, a one-kilometer-long human rights awareness walk will be organized.

The Human Rights Week will formally commence on the first working day of the coming week with the issuance of official letters, circulars, and notifications. Preparations for the student competitions are planned to begin immediately.

High-profile personalities are expected to participate in the events, including the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh for Human Rights, Rajveer Singh Sodha, as well as renowned human rights figures, government officials, and local community leaders.
