A first information report (FIR) has been lodged against the station house officer (SHO) of Defence C police station and two other police officials for allegedly unlawfully entering the official residence of a judicial magistrate and issuing threats during an investigation linked to the alleged abduction and rape of two foreign women, local media reported.
According to the FIR today, filed on the complaint of the watchman at the Judicial Rest House in Dharampura, SHO Faryad Ashraf and two police personnel were accused of trespassing into the government residence of Judicial Magistrate Cantt Azhar Mahmood and intimidating those present.
The complaint alleged that the SHO, accompanied by armed police officials, forcibly entered the magistrate’s residence while carrying weapons and threatened the occupants. It further stated that the officer allegedly pressured Judicial Magistrate Azhar Mahmood to speak with senior police officials over the telephone.
Following the incident, a separate application was submitted to the Inspector General (IG) of Punjab, requesting disciplinary proceedings against the Defence C SHO and two unidentified police officials for their alleged conduct.
Sources said the SHO was immediately line-closed pending the outcome of an official inquiry into the allegations.
The development comes as police continue investigating the alleged abduction and rape of two foreign women in Lahore’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area.
Earlier, a Lahore court remanded four suspects – Raza Dar, Hassan Raza, Sikandar Khan and Sajid Ali – into police custody for five days.
During the hearing, investigators sought physical remand, arguing that weapons and alleged proceeds connected to the crime had yet to be recovered and that further custodial interrogation was necessary to complete the investigation.
