Punjab University Awards Doctorate Degrees to 10 Scholars in Various Fields

Punjab University on Monday awarded PhD degrees to ten scholars after the formal approval of their research theses.

The degree recipients’ fields range from social sciences to modern technology. The university announced the successful completion of the doctoral programs on Monday.

In the field of social sciences and humanities, the new doctorate recipients include Muqaddas Mahmud daughter of Sultan Mahmud Umar in Education, and Mah Rukh Baig daughter of Khurram Shahzad Baig was awarded a degree in International Relations. Two researchers, Wang Lin daughter of Wang Erian, and Muhammad Javed son of Muhammad Jan, earned their PhD degrees in History.

Significant achievements were also noted in the fields of science and technology. Javed Ahmed son of Sardar Ahmed Din was awarded a doctorate in Space Science, while Noman Shafiq son of Shafiq Muhammad received his degree in Computer Science. Mubarak Ali Anjum son of Muhammad Ashraf completed his PhD in Agricultural Sciences with a specialization in Plant Pathology.

This group of new doctors also includes experts in administrative and information sciences. Huda Riaz daughter of Riaz Hussain was awarded a degree for her work in Administrative Sciences. Sundas Hanif daughter of Muhammad Hanif in Commerce, and Amna Farzand Ali daughter of Farzand Ali obtained a doctorate in Information Management.
