According to the latest report released today by the Irrigation Department, the Chenab River maintains a stable flow of 5,000 cusecs at the Chenab Link (CJ Link), providing stable water supply amid seasonal requirements.
At Marala, the river flow is 147,042 cusecs, while the discharge is slightly reduced to 134,342 cusecs. Meanwhile, Khanki reports a strong flow, with a flow of 192,104 cusecs, and it is discharging 186,774 cusecs downstream. The Qadirabad site recorded a flow of 188,186 cusecs, with a discharge of 176,900 cusecs. The Qadirabad-Balloki Link Canal (QB Link) is currently discharging 11,286 cusecs, compared to its designated capacity of 15,000 cusecs.
Further downstream, Trimmu is handling a flow of 180,841 cusecs, while the discharge is measured at 172,741 cusecs. Various canals, including TSL, HML, Rasul Canal, LBDC, BSL, Southern Canal, and SML, are receiving water according to the designated distribution schedule.
The Irrigation Department assures that the situation is normal at all headworks and canals, and efficient water management is being ensured through continuous monitoring. This situation update reflects observations as of 6:00 AM on July 25, 2026.
