Punjab University Initiative Connects Aspiring Journalists with Major News Network

Aspiring media professionals were provided a direct gateway into the digital news industry during a targeted recruitment event organized by the University of Central Punjab’s Career Services Office in partnership with Suno News.

According to a report by the university today, the initiative aimed to bridge the gap between academic training and professional practice for nearly two dozen students and alumni.

The drive presented a range of positions within the digital media landscape, including opportunities for digital anchors, researchers, graphic designers, and content creators, allowing candidates to explore diverse career paths.

Participants underwent a rigorous selection process, which included comprehensive interviews and screen tests conducted by the Suno News digital media team.

This hands-on activity provided the 25 attendees with firsthand exposure to the operations of a modern newsroom. The process allowed students and graduates to gain practical understanding of professional workflows and the specific expectations of the contemporary media sector.

The event, a joint venture with the university”s Faculty of Media and Mass Communication, concluded with Dr. Fawad Baig presenting souvenirs to the visiting media team as a gesture of appreciation for their collaboration.
