NOSHKI: N-40 RCD section of Quetta-Taftan Highway was blocked on Friday near Taftan Road Station by the enraged relatives of a woman allegedly killed at the hands of police in Qadirabad area of Noshki.
The protesters demanded of the authorities to suspend the services of responsible police officers and cops besides conducting fair investigation into the incident. The protesters placed the body of a woman on road near Taftan Road Station, blocking
N-40 RCD Quetta-Taftan Highway for all kinds of vehicular traffic.
The affectees demanded that First Information Report (FIR) against SHO Police Station Noshki, Asad Mengal and other responsible staff, be registered over the killing of a female in Qadirabad area of Noshki.
Talking to PPI, the protestors said that a Police Station Noshki team, led by SHO Asad Mengal raided the house of Haji Abdul Haleem Sarpara in Qadirabad area of Noshki the previous day to arrest the son of Haji Abdul Haleem Sarpara namely Manzoor Sarpara.
They said police opened fire at the residence of Haji Abdul Haleem Sarpara, injuring his daughter-in-law, adding that the injured was rushed to Teaching Hospital Noshki.
They said after provision of first aid, the injured was referred to Sandrman Provincial Hospital Quetta, where she injured breathed her last during treatment at SPH, Quetta. They demanded of the authorities to suspend the services of Asad Mengal, SHO, PS Noshki and take strict disciplinary action against the responsible staff of PS Noshki, including SHO, PS Noski, Asad Mengal.
