Radio Pakistan effectively highlighting Kashmir cause through broadcasts: Faisal

Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting Faisal Javed says Radio Pakistan is effectively highlighting the Kashmir cause and plight of Kashmiris through its broadcasts.

In an exclusive interview with News and Current Affairs channel of Radio Pakistan on Monday, he said whole team of the national broadcaster is working day and night to spread this message across.

Senator Faisal Javed said during PTI tenure Kashmir cause has been highlighted in the world for the first time in last 70 years. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan not only drew attention to the Kashmir issue at the forum of United Nations General Assembly but also championed the message of Islam and prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

He said the steps taken by government on Kashmir have exposed the true face of Indian Prime Minister Modi before the international community. He said whole of Kashmir is under lockdown with complete ban on information. Despite this, we are successful in convincing the world that there are serious human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.

Faisal Javed said more than 50 members of the Human Rights Council in a joint statement condemned the Indian aggression and urged India to lift the curfew. He said for the first time in fifty years, detailed deliberations were held by Foreign Affairs Committee of the US Congress on Kashmir. They held two sessions and urged the Indian government to lift the curfew.

He said the blunder committed by Narendra Modi will pave the way to complete liberation of Kashmiris.

Praising the quality of broadcasts of Radio Pakistan, he said listeners of Radio Pakistan inside and outside the country are full of praise of national broadcaster for espousing the national values. He said Radio Pakistan is gradually adapting itself with modern technology and gadgetry. He expressed satisfaction that Radio Pakistan is already working effectively on digital and satellite technologies, besides taking good initiatives in social media. He said the quality of Radio Pakistan’s transmission will improve significantly with digitalization. It will not only help in clear transmissions, but also widening the reach of it.

Faisal Javed said when PTI government assumed power it found national institutions in disarray and loss. He said we are working hard on revival of all national institutions through reforms.
