An event honouring the 149th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was organised to educate the younger generation on his pivotal role in the creation of Pakistan, featuring a major photographic exhibition and a documentary screening.
According to PAC information today, the commemoration was arranged by the Punjab Arts Council (PAC) Rawalpindi in collaboration with the Information and Culture Department of the Government of the Punjab.
The centrepiece of the activities was a photographic display titled ‘Quaid Kay Shab-o-Rooz,’ presented at the council’s gallery. The collection comprised over 150 uncommon images chronicling the life, political journey, and lasting impact of the nation’s founder.
The stated objective of the visual showcase was to inform youth about the monumental struggle, visionary leadership, and sacrifices made by Quaid-e-Azam.
In addition to the static display, a documentary film was screened for attendees, highlighting various facets of his life and numerous achievements.
The event was formally inaugurated by the Parliamentary Secretary for the Information and Culture Department, Mst Shazia Rizwan, who served as the Chief Guest. She was joined by Director Punjab Arts Council, Muhammad Shakoor, and renowned senior calligrapher Azeem Iqbal.
Addressing the occasion, the Parliamentary Secretary stated that Quaid-e-Azam successfully led the Muslims of the Subcontinent based on the Two-Nation Theory, which culminated in the emergence of Pakistan as an independent state under his dynamic leadership. She affirmed that the nation pays a rich tribute to his unparalleled services and unwavering commitment to freedom.
