Srinagar, February 12, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Aasiya Andrabi and other Hurriyat leaders have paid glorious tributes to Saima Wani, who succumbed to her injuries, last day.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed deep sympathy with the family of Saima saying that Indian forces were involved in continuous bloodshed in the territory. He said Indian forces are directly targeting civilians and unbridled state power is being enforced against innocents. He said the puppet administration has unleashing violent measures against unarmed civilians and even kids and innocent civilians are safe from trigger-happy Indian troops.

“The forces have virtually waged a war against civilians and are carrying out a massacre under a well-thought-out plan,” he said and urged the international human rights organisations, international community, Asia Watch and Amnesty International to take notice of terror perpetrated and unabated killings by Indian forces in the occupied territory. He said peaceful struggle for right to self-determination will continue until the people of Kashmir achieve their goal.

The DeM chairperson said, “New Delhi and its stooges in Kashmir should realize that the people of Kashmir have rejected India long ago. They should understand that people of Kashmir have taken arms against Indian military occupation. For how long will they keep us occupied?” She also appealed to the international organisations to read the writings on the wall and help stop bloodshed in Kashmir”.

Other Hurriyat leaders including Zafar Akbar Butt, Yasmeen Raja, Muhammad Saleem Zargar, Imtiaz Ahmad Reshi, Tehreek-e-Mazahmat, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League and Voice of Victims in their statements also paid tributes to martyred Saima Wani.
