The Meteorological Department has forecasted that due to storms, hail, and heavy rain from Friday night until the morning of April 20, there is a risk of damage to weak infrastructure. There is a possibility of thunderstorms and rain in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper and central Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

During the last 24 hours, the weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country, while upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, and Gilgit-Baltistan experienced thunderstorms and rain. The highest rainfall of 08 mm was recorded in Dir (Upper) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Hafizabad in Punjab received 05 mm of rain.

On Saturday, the weather in Islamabad and surrounding areas is expected to be partly cloudy, with thunderstorms and rain likely. Strong winds are also expected in other districts of the province.

The southern regions of the country experienced extreme heat, with the maximum temperature recorded at 47 degrees Celsius in Dadu, Sibi, and Shaheed Benazirabad. There is a possibility of thunderstorms and rain at a few places in southern Punjab.

Most districts of Sindh will remain hot and dry, with the possibility of strong winds. In Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, the weather is expected to be cloudy, with strong winds and thunderstorms likely.
