Security Concerns Force Closure of Schools in Quetta

Schools located on Zarghoon Road and in adjoining areas of Quetta were closed abruptly on Monday, while examinations scheduled for the day were postponed as authorities responded to security concerns linked to a protest sit-in on Airport Road.

According to the school administration, the decision was taken as a precautionary measure following a perceived security threat arising from the demonstration at B.A. Maal on Quetta Airport Road. The protest was staged by residents of Hanna Urak in response to the Killi Babri incident.

Students who had already reached their schools were sent home after the closures were announced, causing inconvenience for parents, many of whom had to return to the institutions to collect their children.

School authorities said the precautionary closures were implemented to ensure the safety of students and staff amid the prevailing security situation.
