The upcoming Law Admission Test (LAT) has been deferred in Quetta due to prevailing security conditions, a direct consequence of the Government of Balochistan’s decision to impose Section 144 across the district for a 15-day period.

The Education Testing Council (ETC), the official assessment body of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), confirmed today the postponement of the examination, which was originally scheduled to take place on November 9, 2025.

This move to reschedule the critical entrance test was made in response to the administrative measures enacted by provincial authorities to manage the local law and order environment.

An announcement regarding the new test date is expected in the near future. In the interim, all affected LAT aspirants are advised to monitor the official HEC and ETC websites, www.hec.gov.pk and www.etc.hec.gov.pk, for the latest updates and announcements.
