Security Preparations for Crucial Talks Deliberated as Regional Tensions Ease

Security arrangements for an impending round of critical negotiations in the capital city were a central topic during discussions between Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, and the US Chargé d’Affaires to Pakistan, Natalie Baker, held today at the US embassy.

The high-level meeting, which took place in Islamabad’s Diplomatic Enclave, also encompassed broader deliberations on strengthening bilateral Pakistan-US ties and recent regional developments. Ms Baker acknowledged Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to de-escalating regional tensions, expressing appreciation for its constructive role.

In response, Minister Naqvi provided a detailed briefing on the security measures put in place for the upcoming second round of discussions in Islamabad. He further conveyed his earnest hopes for the success of these vital dialogues.
