Shaikh Rasheed Ahmed submits complaint to Chairman NAB regarding LNG deal

Islamabad, February 21, 2018 (PPI-OT): Chairman, Awami Muslim League (AML) Shaikh Rasheed Ahmed submitted complaint to Chairman NAB Honourable Justice Mr. Javed Iqbal at NAB headquarters in the award of Liquefied Natural Gas contract. Chairman NAB Honourable Justice Mr. Javed Iqbal assured Shaikh Rashid to look into the complaint in the light of relevant rules, regulations and laws. It merits mentioning here that Shaikh Rasheed Ahmed had filed a petition in Supreme Court of Pakistan. The Supreme Court of Pakistan in terms of clause-111 of the prayer, asked to approach the appropriate fora for redressal of his grievances.

Moreover, Shaikh Rasheed Ahmed also apprised Chairman NAB about allegedly doling out whooping Rs 9 billion to MNA Captain ® Safdar by Cabinet Division in the name of development funds without completing formalities. Shaikh Rasheed Ahmad told the Chairman NAB that Finance Ministry had already reluctant to inquire the matter. The Honourable leader of the Opposition had also written four letters to Cabinet Division. He made complaint to Chairman NAB to order probe that where the Rs. 9 billion had been spent, and who permitted to dole out Rs. 9 billion to Captain Safdar. NAB Chairman assured that the complaint would be investigated in the light of relevant rules and regulations.
