KARACHI:Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday extended pre-arrest bail of Pakistan People’s Party leader Nisar Khuhro in an inquiry pertaining to money laundering charges.
A high court bench during the hearing approved the plea filed by Khuhro for obtaining protective pre-arrest bail in connection with National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) inquiry against him in money laundering charges. The court extended the pre-arrest bail till December 17, 2020 and ordered provision of a copy of Khuhro’s plea to the NAB prosecutor.
It may be noted that the NAB Sukkur had summoned Khuhro in a case related to corruption in the Food Department, said sources. Khuhro has been accused of giving wheat of billion rupees to the flour mills on credit. In 2018, the NAB held an inquiry against former minister and Sukkur food department officials over alleged corruption.
