SHIKARPUR: Shikarpur police with the support of intelligence and other law enforcement agencies arrested a notorious dacoit Khairoo Teghani from a private hospital of Rahimyar Khan on Wednesday.
According to SSP Office Shikarpur, on a tip-off, the Shikarpur police with the help of law enforcement agencies conducted a raid at a private hospital of Rahim Yar Khan in Punjab province and succeeded in arresting the most wanted notorious dacoit Khairoo Teghani. The Government of Sindh had announced Rs7 million as head money for his arrest.
Police further claimed that some three days ago, the gangster Khairoo Teghani was injured in an encounter took place between the outlaws and police in Katcha area of Garhi Tegho and later his companions took him away in injured condition for treatment.
The Shikarpur police continued their search and succeeded in arresting him. The arrested dacoit was the ringleader of a notorious gang of of bandits in Sindh. Teghani was involved in more than 40 heinous offences including killing of police officers, kidnapping, road robberies, murders, police encounters and other crimes.
The arrested dacoit Teghani was in a critical condition.
