Shikarpur police recover arms, 2000 bullets in raid

SHIKARPUR: Shikarpur police on Friday claimed to have recovered four kalashnikovs, two double barrel guns and 2000 bullets from a car in a raod near Dilawar Shah area on Marri Link road. According to SSP Office Shikarpur, on a tip-off, Mari police raided a car on the road near Dilawar Shah area on Marri Link road. During checking, they recovered four kalashnikovs, two double barrel guns and 2000 bullets from a Mehran car No. AMZ-612.

The police also arrested accused identified as Shaharyar Kehar, son of Iqrar Ahmed Kehar. The have registered the case and started further investigation. Meanwhile, a villager was gunned down in a clash between the two rival groups of Tunia community within the jurisdiction of Gaheja police station in the wee hours of Thursday. According to report, an old villager identified as Shaman Tunio, 55, was killed in an armed clash took place between two rival groups of Tunia community near Madeji. The cause behind the murder was said to be an ongoing dispute between two rival groups of Tunia of Madeji. No FIR was registered till late Friday.
