On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Usman Javed, a total fine of 20 thousand rupees was imposed on local shopkeepers and their goods were confiscated during a vigorous operation against encroachments across the city.
In today’s operation, supervised by Sub-Divisional Enforcement Officer (SDEO) Waseem Javed, a joint team of Para-Force and Municipal Committee personnel inspected various locations, identified the violators, and penalized them.
Speaking on the occasion, SDEO Waseem Javed expressed his determination that such operations will continue uninterruptedly to keep traders who cause inconvenience to the public within their prescribed limits.
He emphasized that these measures are necessary not only to enhance the city’s beauty but also to strengthen the rule of law. The Sub-Enforcement Officer said, “The law is equal for everyone, and illegal occupation of public places is unacceptable under any circumstances.”
The official said that the beauty of a city lies not just in its infrastructure but in discipline, cleanliness, and adherence to legal principles. “Through the campaign against encroachments, we can make our cities clean, safe, and beautiful again. To achieve this goal, the cooperation of citizens along with the administration is indispensable.”
