Siddiqui Spearheads National Drive to Enrol Out-of-School Children

The government is working to ensure educational facilities are available for every child as part of a mission to realise the founding principles of Pakistan.

This was stated by Minister for Education and Professional Training, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, while addressing a ceremony in the capital for the “No Child Left Behind” campaign. The minister urged parents, educators, and society members to actively support the initiative to guarantee its message reaches all corners of the country.

Mr Siddiqui underscored the fundamental importance of learning, stating that Pakistan’s primary foundation, its religion, commences with the word “Iqra”, which leaves no ambiguity about the significance of knowledge.

He elaborated that a complete education incorporates training, skills, ethics, and knowledge. The minister also emphasised that in today’s world, it is a requirement for even farmers and labourers to possess proper certification to comply with global standards.

Siddiqui noted that the provision of education is a joint responsibility of the federal government and the provinces.
