Significant Decline in Gold and Silver Prices in Domestic and Global Gold Market

Gold prices saw a significant decline on Thursday, with a notable drop recorded in the international market and local rates in Pakistan also falling accordingly. This widespread decline also extended to silver, whose prices also decreased across the board.

In Pakistan, the price of 24-carat gold per tola was quoted at 493,762 rupees, a significant decrease of 5,200 rupees from its previous price.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold decreased to 423,321 rupees, reflecting a reduction of 4,458 rupees.

For 10 grams of 22-carat gold, the rate stood at 388,058 rupees, indicating a decrease of 4,087 rupees.

Globally, the price of the yellow metal saw a decrease of 52 US dollars, reaching 4,714 US dollars.

Silver also registered a significant decline. One tola of 24-carat silver was priced at 8,099 rupees, indicating a decrease of 225 rupees.

The price of 10 grams of 24-carat silver decreased to 6,943 rupees, which was a decrease of 193 rupees.

In the international market, silver prices saw a decrease of 2.25 US dollars, settling at 76.15 US dollars. Overall, the day witnessed a broad downward trend for both precious metals in domestic and international markets.
