Sindh Culture Day celebrated across province

KARACHI:Sindhi Culture Day was celebrated across the province on Sunday with traditional dance, music and national songs to show unity among the people and highlight centuries old rich culture of Sindh.

 

Political, social, religious, government organisations and associations took out colorful rallies and held demonstrations and public meeting in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas, Dadu, Shikarpur and other cities and towns of the province with great zeal and fervor.

 

In Karachi, main public gathering was held at YMC road, where people reached in thousands by removing barricades. They were dancing on the tunes of national Sindh songs. The participants wore Ajrak and Sindh topi to highlight their culture.

 

A big pulic gathering was also held at the Governor’s House to mark the Sindh Culture Day. Speaking at the program, Sindh governor greeted the people of Sindh and highlighted the Sindh culture values.

 

In Hyderabad, the public gathering was held at Eidgah area in which thousands of people wearing Ajrak and Top participated. The demonstrated national dance and sang Sindh songs on the tunes of music.

 

In Naushehro Feroz, a big public gathering was held in which national Sindhi songs were sung with traditional dances. A colorful rally was taken out in Kandiaro town of Sindh in which thousands of people participated.

 

A big rally was also taken out in Nawabshah in which participants raised slogans against the federal government bid to occupy twin islands of Sindh. They also raised slogans for the welfare of Sindh and its people.

 

In Ratodero, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz chief Sanan Qureshi led a big rally to mark the unity day of Sindh. A large number of people participated in the rally. The rallies were also taken out in Miro Khan and Naseerabad. In Naseerabad, a 300-fee long Ajrak was showcased by the participants.

 

In Sukkur, Jogi Faqirs took out a colorful rally from the city point. They marched through various roads of the city amid dance and Jugi music and songs.

 

In Naoon Kot, a groom left his marriage party and participated in the rally, where he sang songs and danced. He said that Sindh Culture Day is more valuable than his marriage ceremony.
